We put in a pivot on our place this year, what an undertaking that has been. It’s so wonderful now that it works and we can irrigate an entire field with the touch of a button. But my oh my it took a lot of work to get to this point.

First there was the flood which delayed construction and the laying of pipe for several weeks while the water receded and the ground dried.

Then there was the work of digging the pipe ditch and actually laying the pipe.

Trust me, this pipeline is about ten miles long (okay, maybe I exaggerate a teensy bit) and I helped Ty place every single pipe in the ground.

Now that the pivot is operational, it’s like a dream come true. It was a lot of work getting here and now we are enjoying it!
