My Little Family

We finally took our family pictures that we’ve been meaning to take for two months now!  Mr. Rancher doesn’t see the point of family pictures–or pictures at all for that matter.  When I told him I’d like to take a photo each year he almost threw away my camera.  He finally agreed to run outside in the freezing weather for just a couple shots.  I’m oh so glad he did.

I love this little family of mine.  Mr. Rancher is the best husband to me and the best daddy to Henley.  She cries every morning when he leaves to feed the calves and squeals with excitement when he comes home.  I’m less vocal about it but I feel basically the same way.

I actually took our pictures myself with the help of a tripod and shutter timer.  There was a lot of running and “okay get ready, I’m pushing the button!”  It worked though!

I won’t even go into the struggle of coordinating outfits for pictures.  It’s too stressful to even mention.

I love my little bug.  She is my buddy and shadow.  She likes to help with everything I am doing and she especially loves taking pictures.

I also love my Rancher.  He’s a big tease and so resistant to taking pictures but at the end of the day he’s the greatest, most hard-working, funniest, sweetest, most patient, most generous, handsomest, stubbornest, nicest guy I know.  I’m lucky to have him.

And another daddy-daughter one because they’re just so darn cute together.

Wrapping it up with Miss Henley!  We adore her, we love her, we’re so grateful to have her.  She’s our pride and joy and apparently quite the model!

I completely missed my November 30 Days of Thanks post this year–it may have something to do with being a mama–but I would like to do a shortened version here.  My number one blessing is my relationship with God.  I am incredibly blessed and I know He loves me.  My family is my second greatest.  I am the luckiest girl to have such a wonderful husband, daughter, parents, siblings, in-laws and extended family.  I love them all so much.  Third is my beautiful life.  As I’ve said many, many times before, I never thought I would end up as a ranch wife with cows and horse and dirt and manure.  I love it though.  I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I encourage all of you to remember your blessings this Christmas season and focus on giving rather than getting.  Happy December!
